Kindergarten celebrated National Heart Month by learning about different heart healthy foods and activities. Our day was made even more special with the help of nurses from St. Claire’s Hospital in Dover. They showed us how to read our pulse, how our heart works, and even gave us our very own stethoscopes!

We bend but we don't break! Middle and elementary students from Mrs. Church and Mrs. Vellis's science classes teamed up to design and test classroom bridges — challenging our STEM skills and collaboration every step of the way. Proud to see creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in action as older kids mentor younger ones and everyone learns together. Our 8th Grade pajama day fundraiser has been moved to tomorrow, 2/24. Donate $2 to come to school comfy and support the 8th grade class!
All grades are able to participate.

Ms. Mac’s 7th grade science class is finishing their Chemistry unit and had the opportunity to invite the Kindergarten students to participate in a special lab activity—flame tests. The 7th graders prepared the chemical solutions, while the Kindergarten students helped test them by observing the different flame colors. The activity allowed the older students to identify properties of the compounds based on the color and energy produced, while also giving the younger students a fun and engaging introduction to science. It was a wonderful example of students learning together across grade levels.

On Thursday, we honored an incredible group of students who reached two major milestones: officially transitioning out of our ML classroom and earning their Certificate of Biliteracy!
Being bilingual is a superpower, but earning this certificate takes immense dedication, grit, and academic excellence. These students aren't just learning a language; they are mastering the art of bridging cultures. We couldn't be prouder of their hard work and the bright futures ahead of them.

The New Jersey School Board Association has declared January 2026 to be school board recognition month! Our superintendent, Dr. Connie Sanchez, recognized all the contributions made by our local school board members at last night's board meeting! Congratulations to our wonder board members!

Before we left for our Holiday Break our Duffy Do Gooders visited the seniors building and delivered hand made ornaments to their residents.

Our second graders, in Mrs. Fiorello and Mrs. Greco's class, listened to a read aloud of How to Catch a Gingerbread Man. Then they worked in small groups to make a plan for their trap before building.

Today our superintendent had lunch with a small group of students.
They laughed. They talked about school, friends, and what matters to them. They shared stories and snacks.
Lunch Bunch matters.
When you sit with children, you tell them they belong. You show them they are seen. You learn who they are when the classroom noise fades.
These moments build trust. Trust builds connection. Connection supports learning and well being.
