MacKinnon's 8th grade class is holding a Pajama Day Fundraiser to help raise money for their class activities. Please see the attached flyer for dates and donation information.
Nothing beats a cozy pajama day in this chilly weather!
Thank you for all your support!

Duffy Second grade artists created Elephants inspired by art from India. They wrote artist statements and had a gallery walk through to observe the work of their classmates.

Our class trip to the Crayola Factory was bursting with color! 🌈 What an amazing day learning how the magic happens and getting to be creative. Highly recommend!

We swapped the cafeteria for a cozy café last week for a special 5th Grade "Book Sampling" event in the library! Mrs. Taker transformed the space into a restaurant, where students got to "sample" books by reading the first three minutes/first chapter.

If they loved the taste, they checked it out! If not, they moved on to the next course. What a genius way to explore new genres and find that perfect read. We're serving up lifelong readers! 🤩

What was your favorite book you "sampled" as a kid? Let us know! 👇

We love hands-on speech! Engaging, interactive lessons like "The Old Lady" activity help students expand vocabulary, strengthen sequencing, and build comprehension-making language learning meaningful and fun for all students. Every communicator is included, supported, and heard.

Hope, our beloved therapy dog, celebrated her 100th day in a school yesterday! Way to go, Hope! Woof, woof!

Our wonderful 1st grade students made cards for Veterans this week. What a heartfelt way to show our thanks.

Table of Hope is holding a food drive on 11/21. Please see the attached flyer on how you can donate.

Today, we honor the incredible men and women who have served our country. Your courage, sacrifice, and commitment make the world a safer place. Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for your service.

Just a friendly reminder: School is open tomorrow November 11.

Kindergarten artists in Mrs. Maida's class became jewelry designers in art by creating textured clay pendants with radial designs and adding beads to make necklaces inspired by jewelry from around the world.

Reminder: School will be closed Thursday 11/06 & Friday 11/07. Have a great weekend, and we will see you on Monday!

Spooky season has come and gone, but we still have some Halloween photos and activities coming through!

Happy Halloween from Wharton Borough Public Schools!!

5th grade trip to Tranquility Farms yesterday!

Our Superintendent, Dr. Connie Sanchez, will be hosting a virtual Town Hall Meeting on Monday, November 3.
We hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made today "double" fun!

Twinning! Our second day of MacKinnon's Halloween spirit week fundraiser has us seeing double!

The MacKinnon 8th grade class is holding a spirit week fundraiser for both MacKinnon & Duffy students and staff. Our 8th graders are asking for a suggested $5 donation to participate to go towards their end of the year activities. Please see the attached flyer for the themes this week. Duffy students do not need to pay to dress up on Halloween. This is just a fun way to raise some money for our 8th graders.
