Our 7th grade science students wrapped up the school year by putting their physics knowledge into action with an exciting STEM bridge-building challenge!
Students were tasked with designing, building, and testing the strongest bridge possible using the lightest materials. Throughout the project, they applied concepts learned during our physics unit while developing their engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
After careful design, construction, and testing, the winning bridge weighed an incredible 18 grams and successfully held 5.5 kilograms of weight! What an outstanding demonstration of engineering and scientific thinking.
Congratulations to all of our students for their creativity, perseverance, and hard work. It was a fantastic way to conclude the physics portion of the 7th grade science curriculum. Job well done by everyone!

"For our final Science Buddies activity of the school year, our 8th graders teamed up with the 3rd grade classes for a hands-on exploration of science and fun!
Working together, students created giant cube-shaped bubbles while learning about the fascinating science of surface tension and how liquids interact with solid objects. Our 8th graders took on the role of mentors, helping their younger buddies build bubble cubes and deepen their understanding of the science behind them.
It was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration, learning, and laughter—and a perfect way to wrap up another successful year of Science Buddies. Some good, clean fun was had by all!
Science, teamwork, and lots of bubbles made for the perfect end to our Science Buddies year!

Mrs. Church and Mrs. Vellis's classes came together to explore homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures in the most delicious way possible!
🥣 Students followed the scientific process to create their own Fiesta Dip — a hands-on mixture experiment that combined both types of solutions.
The best part? Tasting their results! 🎉
Science has never been so tasty!
