We are proud to celebrate several Duffy students who earned Honorable Mention awards for their creative and inspiring artwork.

A special congratulations goes to first grader Isabella, who was named the overall category winner in the Elementary 1 group!

We are incredibly proud of all of our student artists for using their creativity to share powerful messages about kindness, acceptance, and belonging. Great job, Duffy artists!

On Friday our 5th grade students had their LEAD graduation. Congratulations to our poster & essay winners!
Thank you to the Wharton Police Department for bringing this great program into our schools.

On Friday night our amazing Chorus and Band performed at our annual Spring Concert. One of the songs the sang was "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper, whose music video was filmed right here in Wharton on Main Street!
Thank you again to our staff, parents and administrators for keeping our music programs running.

This year our Band & Chorus students were able to attend Wicked on Broadway! They got to enjoy a day in New York City and got lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.
What a wonderful experience for our students who would like to pursue the Arts.

We are pleased to announce that Makhai Fulton has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2026 “All In” Poster Contest. Makhai was presented with a lovely certificate to mark this outstanding accomplishment. This year’s submissions came from all over the United States. Makhai’s work featured four quadrants each depicting various themes of inclusion. Being “All In” for inclusion is a MacKinnon School goal, which supports a safe and welcoming environment for all types of learners. Thank you, Makhai, for conveying our school beliefs so vibrantly through your artwork.

Two of our 5th Grade teams went head to head in a kickball game yesterday! Good luck to both teams!! I think both teams won on their walk up songs!!

Join us at our first ever STEM event after school on May 28! We'll have vendors with hands on activities and presentations!!

Mrs. Church and Mrs. Vellis's classes came together to explore homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures in the most delicious way possible!

🥣 Students followed the scientific process to create their own Fiesta Dip — a hands-on mixture experiment that combined both types of solutions.

The best part? Tasting their results! 🎉
