Morris County School Media Association 2007-2008
March
6, 2008 General Meeting
Technology, Kindles, and Wiis - Oh, My!
Have
you heard the buzz?
Are you asking, “What’s a Kindle?” or have you already cracked the
virtual binding on an entire stack of electronic books?
No matter what your experience, there is so much to be learned about
these newest reading devices.
Amazon is advertising it as, “a wireless, portable reading device with
instant access to more than 100,000 books, blogs, newspapers, and magazines.”
MCSMA is pleased to have joining us, Diane Lapsley and Carol Boutilier,
director and assistant director of the Sparta Public Libraries, to speak about
Kindles and their impact in our libraries.
We
are also excited to have Mary Martin, Long Hill Township Public Library
Director, introduce us to the Wii.
This new video game format from Nintendo has transformed how our students
(and some of us) are playing.
Impress your students and your young clientele with your knowledge of
this most popular gaming system!
Join
us at Chatham Middle School Library 3:30 for coffee,
4:00 for the program.
Snow date will be March 13.
